About
Tulip Design Queensland was established by Robert Lloyd in 2010 following several years working away from home.
The aim was to achieve a more balanced family and working lifestyle, in parallel seeking to establish a holistically rewarding, relationship focussed business.
Initial opportunities were smaller residential and commercial projects on the Sunshine Coast.
Projects grew to include Department of Education and Northern Territory and Western Australia Government tenders in collaboration with a local builder.
In recent years Robert has worked for a limited number of repeat clients including the EBOS Group, Coles, and Sekisui House.
Coles – Supermarket retail - involvement in approx 150 projects since 2012, in QLD, NSW, VIC and WA
EBOS Group – Human and animal pharmaceutical distribution facilities in QLD, SA and NSW - 9 projects since 2015, some including automation - ranging up to $55m development cost.
Overall in excess of 250 projects since Tulip Design Queensland was established in July 2010
Prior to emigrating from the UK in 2002, Robert was a partner in Boden Lloyd Architects, a successful practice focusing at the time on projects for Universities and Schools in the Midlands (Nottingham region). Boden Lloyd Architects was established in 1997 and continues today as Boden Associates.
